The Three Layers of Financial Capacity

Layer 1: The Wealth Element (How Wealthy)

The presence, strength, and rooting of your Wealth Element in your chart determines your basic financial potential:

Strong, rooted Wealth Element: Significant financial capacity. The element is present in both Stems and Branches, indicating that wealth has "root" — it can sustain.

Weak or absent Wealth Element: Financial potential is there but needs activation through Da Yun cycles. When the Wealth element arrives through running cycles, significant financial activity occurs.

Layer 2: The Output Stars (How Income Is Generated)

Before you can grasp wealth (control another element), you must produce something of value. Output Stars show HOW your income is generated:

食神 (Eating God) → income through natural talent: Artists, chefs, healers, educators — those who monetize what flows naturally from them. The Eating God monetizes joy and ease.

傷官 (Hurting Officer) → income through unconventional brilliance: Entrepreneurs, innovators, those who challenge existing models. Higher potential ceiling but more volatile income pattern.

Both Output Stars strong: Versatile income generation — both traditional talent-based income AND entrepreneurial activity.

Layer 3: Day Master Strength (How Wealth Is Held)

This is the crucial layer most people overlook.

Strong Day Master: Can grasp wealth when it arrives, hold it, and continue growing it. The wealth stays.

Weak Day Master: Even when substantial money arrives, difficulty holding and managing it. The pattern: wealth arrives and departs without lasting impact on net worth.
